Faridkot (Alexander D’Souza): Faridkot Police, under a special campaign ‘War Against Drugs’, has taken major action against drug traffickers, arresting 4 accused in separate cases and recovering 183 grams of heroin. This success was achieved by the CIA staff teams of Faridkot and Jaito under the guidance of SSP Faridkot Dr. Pragya Jain and the leadership of SP (Investigation) Jogeshwar Singh Goraya. 132 grams of heroin recovered from a car, old trafficker arrested:
In the first case, a police party under the supervision of Inspector Amrinder Singh (In-charge CIA Faridkot) was conducting checking near village Dhilwan Kalan. During this time, 132 grams of heroin were recovered after searching a suspicious Swift car. Police arrested Lovepreet Singh alias Binder (resident of Moga, currently residing in Jaito) from the spot. According to the police, Lovepreet already has 4 serious cases registered against him, including drug trafficking and rape.
Jaito Police arrests 3 more traffickers:
In the second operation, the team of CIA staff Jaito In-charge Charanjit Singh arrested two youths, Baljinder Singh alias Babba and Sunny (residents of Kasam Bhatti), who were on a motorcycle near village Rori Kapura, and recovered 51 grams of heroin from them. During interrogation, another accomplice, Manpreet Singh alias Monu, was also named and arrested. Baljinder Babba already has two cases registered against him under the NDPS Act. Police statement:
Police officials said that after obtaining the remand of the arrested accused, it will be investigated from where they procured these drugs and to whom they supplied them. The police clarified that an investigation is underway to dismantle the entire network of drug traffickers. The police also appealed to the public to immediately share any information related to drug trafficking with them.
